The Audi Q8 e-tron is equipped with cutting-edge comfort and safety technologies in its segment, featuring an electric engine and battery optimized for performance and range suitable for the Vietnamese market.

At launch, the Audi Q8 e-tron is available in the Q8 e-tron 55 quattro Advanced variant, with a starting price of 3.8 billion VND. The vehicle is directly available in Vietnam.

Impressive development foundation

Audi's electric car product strategy, "Vorsprung 2030", has proven successful since the launch of the Audi e-tron SUV in 2018, with global sales exceeding 150,000 units. The Audi e-tron was launched in Vietnam during the Vietnam Motor Show 2022. Immediately, this all-electric SUV received significant attention from the media and new owners for its progressive design and top-notch technologies, showcasing Audi's commitment to environmental protection. With these principles, Audi continues to introduce the Q8 e-tron with numerous design and operational technology changes around the end of 2022. Nearly two years later, the Audi Q8 e-tron officially arrived in the Vietnamese market.

The aerodynamic grille and the brand-new logo

One of the most striking features when viewing the Audi Q8 e-tron head-on is the distinctive Singleframe grille. At first glance, the new front and rear design, which systematically built on Audi’s electric design language, makes this clear. As a prestigious electric Audi SUV, the Q8 e-tron introduces the new corporate identity with a two-dimensional, no-frills design of the four rings. The model’s name in Audi lettering on the B-pillar is also new. To ensure the new family logo has an even more striking appearance on the front, Audi will now use the Singleframe light spoiler to highlight the four rings as a central element and showcase the vehicle face on request. This change highlights the futuristic look of the Q8 e-tron, making it stand out on Vietnamese streets.

This standard feature also enhances Audi's new logo design, following a progressive style. With four white rings on a black background, the design reflects the brand's development direction towards a future of sophistication and consistency across products.

Intelligent digital Matrix LED headlights

The optional digital matrix LED headlights enhance the character of the Audi Q8 e-tron. The adaptive adjustment of the light beam, lane light and orientation light support the driver on the road in the dark. On highways, the directional lights mark the position like a "carpet," stretching up to 50 meters ahead, helping the driver operate safely along the road.

Optimized aerodynamic exterior

Aerodynamics has always been the brand's priority, especially electric models. The drag coefficient has been optimized and reduced from 0.28 on the Audi e-tron to 0.27 on the Audi Q8 e-tron. Additional details on the underbody help adjust airflow around the wheel arches, now designed larger to reduce air resistance. Audi also equips standard active aerodynamic systems around the grille. With these upgrades, Audi shows its dedication to detail to optimize energy usage, contributing to a greener and cleaner Earth.

Refined changes

The Audi Q8 e-tron is a testament to the premium electric SUV segment. With dimensions of length x width x height of 4,915 x 1,937 x 1,633 mm and a wheelbase of 2,928 mm, it demonstrates that electric vehicles are not only technological pioneers but also practical for everyday use. The beauty of the electric SUV is expressed through options for monochrome or metallic exterior finishes, accompanied by 21-inch graphite gray Aero 5-spoke wheels. The sporty look is also ornamented with a roof spoiler and is emphasized by the roofline that slopes gracefully down to the trunk.

Segment-leading modern interior

The interior of the Audi Q8 e-tron continues the progressive design of the previous Audi e-tron, demonstrated through the Audi Virtual Cockpit plus 12.3-inch digital dashboard interface with various display modes. This is also one of the features Audi proudly leads in the segment. Additionally, the driver can easily control the car's operational and comfort features through two MMI touch response screens, sized 10.1 inches and 8.6 inches, almost entirely replacing traditional mechanical buttons.

When opening the door, the owner is greeted by LED lighting in both the front and rear. In Vietnam, the car has sporty front seats covered in premium Valcona leather, providing comfort on every journey. Adjusting the comfort features of the four-zone climate control system can be done through an additional 8.6-inch touchscreen.

Furthermore, the interior can be personalized with multi-color ambient lighting, changing according to shades and themes to match the owner's mood and needs. This advantage is complemented by the premium Bang & Olufsen sound system with 17 speakers, delivering the most realistic 3D sound experience and making the Audi Q8 e-tron a true auditorial experience akin to theatre.

With a wheelbase of 2,928 mm, the rear cabin becomes more spacious and airier thanks to the panoramic sunroof. This position also has amenities such as auxiliary charging ports, an independent climate control system, and more. The standard luggage compartment capacity of the Audi Q8 e-tron is 569 liters, expandable to 1,637 liters when folding the second-row seats. This all-electric SUV also adds a front trunk under the hood with up to 62 liters, which can store repair tools and mobile charging cables.

Powerful performance

The Audi e-tron has been setting standards in the electric SUV luxury class category since 2018; its sales successes have made the e-tron brand famous the world over. Now the new Audi Q8 e-tron will continue the success story of the electric pioneer as the top model of Audi’s electric SUVs and crossover models. Specifically, the Audi Q8 e-tron 55 quattro is equipped with an electric motor continuously producing 100 kW, with a maximum output of up to 300 kW (408 horsepower) and a peak torque of 664 Nm.

These specifications demonstrate that the SUV is always ready when needed, such as accelerating past other vehicles on the highway smoothly and safely. Combined with the quattro all-wheel drive system and a single-speed electric transmission, the Audi Q8 e-tron can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and reach 5.6 seconds in Boost Mode. Despite weighing up to 2,682 kg, the top speed of this all-electric SUV is 200 km/h.

New technical upgrades

On the Audi Q8 e-tron, the asynchronous motor at the rear axle has been refined. There are now 14 coils instead of 12, which helps the motor make a stronger electromagnetic field with the same power source, allowing for more torque. Conversely, the electric motor will require less energy to create torque, optimize power consumption, and increase the vehicle's range.

The Audi Q8 e-tron also has a standard adaptive air suspension system. This structure allows the vehicle's ground clearance to vary up to 76 mm. The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system combined with this suspension makes the car more agile when handling sharp corners. The gear ratio of the steering system has been changed to provide responsive feedback. The front axle suspension has been better reinforced, providing a realistic driving feel and precise road feedback.

Powering the Audi Q8 e-tron 55 quattro is a high-end Lithium-Ion battery system with a capacity of up to 114 kWh. With this specification, Audi's flagship all-electric SUV can travel up to 582 km on a single charge cycle. Thanks to energy management software tweaks, the maximum DC charging power at fast-charging stations can reach up to 170 kW, allowing the vehicle to charge from 10% to 80% battery capacity in just 31 minutes, adding a maximum range of 420 km. With a compact and convenient mobile charger, the owner can fully charge at home in about 10 hours by AC 11 kW and about 5 hours by AC 22 kW.

The perfect choice for a sustainable future

With outstanding upgrades in progressive design, practical usability in daily use, and impressive performance, the Audi Q8 e-tron is expected to continue the success of Audi's all-electric product lineup in general and the all-electric SUV models in particular. Additionally, Audi hopes to offer a more environmentally friendly option in the premium SUV segment. Along with attractive pricing, customers who purchase the Audi Q8 Advanced 55 e-tron distributed at official Audi Vietnam dealerships from June 12, 2024, to December 31, 2024, will receive an ABB AC 22kW charger as a gift.

Mr. Ferry Enders, Managing Director Audi Vietnam, stated: "With sharp looks and optimized performance and range, the Audi Q8 e-tron is an important design in our electric vehicle portfolio, bringing excitement and interest to customers for e-tron models in Vietnam. Compared to the previous generation, we have significantly upgraded the battery capacity and charging performance to make the Q8 e-tron more accessible and practical for daily use by customers in Vietnam."
